I’m Doctor Kallie Collins, a veterinarian and an animal communicator. An ability useful to my profession, right? Sure, until four-legged witnesses show me the beating death of a man, landing me in the sights of an ill-tempered detective out to prove what I do is mumbo-jumbo.

Did I mention the furry witnesses are two stray kittens living in a park, skilled at disappearing in a flash when they feel threatened?

Add in a new animal communicator setting up shop in town and making a splash in the media. My Spidey senses go on instant alert. Or am I just jealous?

With no clear suspects, can I locate the kittens and expose the murderer before I’m labeled a fraud, or worse, the killer comes after me?
