Mark Mitten is an American author, whose work is primarily set in the Old West or contemporary Colorado. He is a member of Western Writers of America. His western novels Sipping Whiskey in a Shallow Grave and Hard to Quit were both Peacemaker Award finalists. Mark has also published Breck’s Quandary, Ghosts of the Past, and A Time Between Times—a modern-day crime trilogy about a sheriff in a small Colorado town. An experienced mountain climber, Mark has summited all 54 of Colorado’s highest peaks. He and his wife Mary currently reside in Winsted, Minnesota.
