A long-time journalist with work in newspapers, magazines, websites, books and ebooks, Chmielewski is also a longtime fan of science fiction. He was an attendee of the Clarion Science Fiction Writer’s Workshop when it was still at Michigan State University.

Currently a freelance writer and editor, Chmielewski started his own company, TEC Publishing, to launch a regional theater magazine in the ‘90s and to do custom publishing work. He is the co-author of a nonfiction business book, and the designer and publisher of a multimedia e-book now available as an app for the iPad. His sci-fi novel and an audio drama prequel will soon be published under the TEC Publishing imprint.
