About the Author

I was born in Mexico City and came to New York City with some old paintbrushes after attending art school in London and establishing one of Mexico's best-known production companies, Calabazitaz (Tender Squash), with my brother Everardo. We've since created Casa Bunuel, a writing lab and production company in Mexico City. Living in New York City, my old brushes transformed into a beautiful wife and two fabulous, hell-raising children. I am also now a partner at Curious Pictures, where I pursue a variety of projects as a writer, graphic novelist, director, producer, and composer.

While at Curious Pictures, I have written my debut novel, Ghost Radio, and coauthored a graphic novel with bestselling author James Patterson, Daniel X: Alien Hunter. I've also written, directed, and produced all kinds of motion media, most recently Little Spirit, an animated Christmas special that aired on NBC in December 2008. Currently, I'm producing Michel Gondry's first feature-length animated film, Megalomania, as I continue to write and create many other projects at Curious, including my next novel for HarperCollins.
