A senior writer at Sports Illustrated since 1994, S. L. Price is the author of Pitching Around Fidel (a finalist for the Los Angeles Times Book Prize) and Heart of the Game. His work has been anthologized four times in The Best American Sports Writing and in Sports Illustrated's Fifty Years of Great Writing. Price lives in Washington, D.C., with his family.
