ERIC DINERSTEIN is Chief Scientist and Vice-President for
Science at World Wildlife Fund-US. Over the past 30 years he
has studied tigers, rhinos, bats, and many other creatures
around the globe. He is the co-author of The Global 200
Ecoregions, a widely used blueprint for identifying and
protecting the most representative and biologically
important regions on Earth, examples of which form the basis
of this book.
