But as they spend time together, Zoe, like Katie, begins to understand a little about Winifred and see that despite her overall attitude, she's really not that bad. These there women are all seeking something and they may just find it in each other.

They grow and reach out to each other, adding Maudie O'Hara to their home to help take care of Winifred. And as Zoe begins allowing a man to get close after the disaster of her last relationship, when she was abused by a man named Alan. Only that relationship isn't gone, because Alan returns -- forcing the women to draw together to fight his nastiness.

This book has a little dose of everything and definitely falls in the chick lit category. It has a little romance, but the primary focus is the relationship and growth of these three women -- three generations forming a bond together. I enjoyed it and recommend it. You'll find yourself examining some of the relationships you take for granted in your life.
