As I read, I found myself smiling a lot through most of this heartwarming mystery. You will even laugh at Win and her amusing friends at times as they are sleuthing through the town. A DEADLY INSIDE SCOOP is the beginning of the Ice Cream Parlor Mysteries that starts in a little town in Ohio.
Like most cozy mysteries, our main character, Bronwyn Crewse, comes up on a body that she finds outside nearby her newly opened ice cream parlor, Crewse Creamery. It was opening day and the snow kept many away. After renovating her grandmother’s parlor, she was hoping to bring the joy of the little shop back to the people of Chagrin Falls. The last thing anyone would expect in this sweet small town is a murder. And no one would ever expect her father to be looked at as a suspect either. Can she and her friends the killer before it is too late?
This trade size book is such an easy read and would be great to take on a vacation. Abby Collette has written a wonderful story and I myself cannot wait to see what else Win and her friends get into in the future. Another amazing cozy mystery writer with what I feel will be a top seller. A DEADLY INSIDE SCOOP will satisfy the mystery lovers need for a great story, but unfortunately, you will have to provide your own ice cream. And trust me after reading the delicious tasty (so to speak) descriptions of her ice cream, you will want to.
