Mitya Amurov doesn't expect much out of life with his vindictive, insane father, and his men after him; he knows he faces death. Taking a job, portraying a mobster, is the least he can do for his cousins and friends who have shown him a new way of life. The last thing he expects to find is the one woman who can mute his LEOPARD'S WRATH.
Ania Dover meets an intriguing man who stops to help her fix a flat one night; she realizes the criminal element when she sees one as her family had dealings with various men of the same ilk. For some reason that doesn't seem to keep her away from him. Her body responds to this man as it never had any other, but she has a feeling that once Mitya claimed her there would be no going back. His leopard would claim her and never let her go.
LEOPARD'S WRATH will have you holding your breath as author Christine Feehan weaves her incredible writing magic. This story is a continuing plot with the men taking over various mobbed-up families to minimize the crimes these men use to make money. Mitya, sure that his father will soon come after him, his cousins and their mates, allows himself to be drawn further into this plan, but Ania makes him doubt everything. He tries to stay away from her but is drawn, as his cousins were, with the mates who help their viscous leopards calm down. He cannot deny himself this peace, after spending most of his life fighting to control the leopard. Ania is a miracle to him.
Ania's life is in turmoil, having lost her mother and grandparents in a car accident, and her father near death from a mugging. Her family were drivers who would make small pickups and deliveries, arriving with the item quickly and without a miss. Until one delivery isn't made and Ania finds out too late that that might be why her family was destroyed. I felt for her deeply as she struggles to deal with her loss, and losing her father in a very hard to take circumstances. All this when the time for her leopard to emerge and falling for Mitya. I certainly loved it when she got behind the wheel and lead the bad guys on a merry chase, giving her mate a dose of extraordinary pride and unheard of fear. LEOPARD'S WRATH is brimming with Ms. Feehan's usual steamy moments that will burn your fingers, but there is so much more to this couple than sex. They are fully fleshed out in a way that has readers sympathetic to them, angry for them, and happy to see them getting the happiness they deserve.
If you are looking for fierce leopard's defending their mates and worlds, strong emotional pulls, characters that will have you wanting them to be real, with a gripping mystery that will hold you entranced, then I recommend LEOPARD'S WRATH.
