I have been trying to find the proper words to express my feelings for DARKNESS RISING. Wow and OMG doesn't do it justice at all. I am left with saying that DARKNESS RISING will blow you away! It begins simply enough - an ancient rises from hibernation, adding a couple of unintentional hysterical moments and moves on to the world forever changed. In between these things we watch as Reaper and Greer come to terms with their feelings, fight with and for one another as well as facing the new world. The setting is New Orleans, one of my favorite places to read about and perfect setting for this paranormal. We see a number of other beings from past Katie Reus Darkness books including Nyx, King (the wolf shifter alpha), Justus and Cynara, who finally admit their feelings for one another. An absolutely amazing book that will have you enthralled to the last page.

This is Ms. Reus' finale of her Darkness series but we have been promised that we will not lose this world. She has spinoff plans with new characters and some from this series in the new one. Thank you, Ms. Reus, for a fantastic series and look forward to the next offering.
