A lovable story that will not only touch your heart but also having you love those dear to you that much more. GRACE AFTER HENRY by Eithne Shortall is one you will not want to read without tissues at hand. It will have you smiling, crying, and, at times, laughing to yourself as the characters are ones that seem as real to you like the emotions that they feel throughout each page. This is a beautifully written novel about life, death life after death, and hope.
Grace and Henry have been together and in love for five years. They have the perfect house picked out and their future laid out before them when a tragic biking accident takes Henry's life. Now, Grace has to learn to be on her own without her other half. She sees him everywhere she goes. As she tries to carry on with some of those dreams without him, a surprise ends up at her door one day. Henry's long-lost twin that he never knew he had, Andy. As Grace spends time with Andy, some things seem familiar and some things much different. Does this help Grace to move on or does it keep her hoping for what she seems to miss? Henry.

A beautifully worded novel about love and loss, GRACE AFTER HENRY was a quick read, as I could not put it down. This was a refreshing change for me from what I usually read and it will remind you to hold loved ones dear. Eithne Shortall did a remarkable job at writing this book that in the end, you did not feel sadness but hope. This is a must read for all book lovers!
