Feeling overwhelmed, Cara Burrows just needs to get away from her husband and two children. Cara doesn't tell them where she's going, just that she would be home by October 24th. She ends up at a beautiful resort but has problems from day one. First, the resort gives her a room that already has people in it, a man and a teenage girl. Cara thinks the girl looks like Melody Chapa, a famous missing murder victim, whose parents are in jail for the crime, and her body was never found.

Cara becomes obsessed with this mystery, and if this girl is really Melody. She begins researching the backstory of the murder, and strange things begin happening at the resort. There is a spa on the resort where people go to relax and can leave messages that supposedly come true. One of the messages is that Cara will be safe, which is confusing to Cara because she feels fine. But then danger comes too close for comfort to Cara the more she discovers Melody's case, and she wonders if the message will really come true.

What a great thriller by Sophie Hannah. KEEP HER SAFE kept me guessing all the way to the end. This book starts out a little slow, but just wait. Hannah all of a sudden pulls you right into this storyline. There are several different ways that this story could have turn out. I thought I had most of them figured out, until almost to the end. I really liked how Cara was a strong woman who used her brain to figure out what was going on, and her story was interesting in addition to the missing murder victim. This is a great mystery thriller!
