A LADY'S CODE OF MISCONDUCT is a breath of fresh air. The characters are distinct, their journeys are believable, and the resolution satisfying. While I wish that some of the levels of the deception didn't last quite as long as they did, I think that's because I read another amnesia story just before this one and was a little fatigued of the trope. However, Moran's execution was top notch.

I adored Crispin's transformation between his old and new selves and how they married together. It's realistic and refreshing to have that much character development in a regency that didn't feel forced. Jane's role in it - and her steps of not-so-quietly coming into her own - were so well matched with the pacing of Crispin's healing that I fell for both of them hook, line, and sinker.

Honestly, this will be one of my top picks for the year. Do yourself a favor and read it before it hits all the top 10 lists.
