RULES OF CONTACT is the 12th book in the Play-by-Play series by Jaci Burton and is filled with heat and humor. Whether you are a sports fan or not this series is very enjoyable because it's not just about sports but it also shows the great relationship between family members and how they support each other. This series shows how these athletes may be the greatest at Play-by-Play on the ball field but it's a whole different story when it comes to relationships off the playing field. This is a great story about trust.

Defensive end Flynn Cassidy has a new restaurant that he wants to see succeed. Part of making his restaurant a success will require him putting himself in the spotlight in front of the cameras, which he does not enjoy. Along with the spotlight notoriety comes the women who are with him because of his fame.

Amelia Lawrence is divorced and looking for a new start as head chef at Flynn's restaurant. This is the opportunity she has been waiting for but finds herself attracted to her new boss. The heat between Flynn and Amelia sizzles but she has been burned once and does not want to go down that road again.

Flynn and Amelia can't resist each and enjoy every minute of it. But a misunderstanding will bring their trust issues to the forefront. They both have trust issues when it comes to realizing what a true relationship is.

What I most enjoy about this series is how Jaci Burton shows the great relationship between families. Even though these athletes have siblings playing on different teams they show overwhelming support for each other. They may have fun taking jabs at each other but there is never a question concerning love and support. These tough, assertive athletes show a whole different side of themselves when they discover love.
