That was it, Flash would give her boss her two weeks' notice. After two years of working as a welder at Asher construction, Veronica "Flash" Redding felt she didn't have enough time to dedicate to what matters the most to her: her art. Besides, the past six months hadn't been easy: after she'd shared a wild night of passion with her boss, Ian Asher, he told her that there would be nothing more between them. The problem is, Flash had already fallen in love with Ian.

Talk about an author taking a tired old trope and giving it a fresh new spin, to make it seriously HOT IN DECEMBER indeed! The sex scenes are really hot, but very playful, and as much fun as is everything in this book! Flash is an amazing character: she likes who she is, she's totally unconventional; she's a woman of principle and not afraid to be a sexual being; I loved her from the get-go, and until the very end. And how I loved that big bossman, white collar, rich boy Ian is the one who is totally smitten, and to see him grovel! There is so much more about these two wonderful characters as to who is the boss, and my lips are sealed, you will not get another word from me on that subject.

Although HOT IN DECEMBER is really a short novel, the characters are incredibly well-developed, both Ian and Flash are very engaging, I just didn't want to let them go; I need more heroes and heroines like these two. The secondary characters are just as great: Flash's elderly neighbor, Mrs. Scheinberg, is simply superb. The story flows smoothly at a very brisk pace, the dialogues are extremely witty and had me giggling numerous times. I also love how Ms. Reisz incorporated Hanukkah in the Holiday season, and in the characters' stories as well. Readers should forget any preconceived notions after reading the blurb: HOT IN DECEMBER is different, bursting with joy, fab sex scenes, brilliant dialogues, and various sorts of wonderful relationships. HOT IN DECEMBER is like getting a shiny new gift that you know will never go out of style!
