A COVERT AFFAIR is a fast reading, very suspenseful storyline by an author who knows how to throw you into her world. Nathan and Amelia are getting a second chance at love if they can get past their history. I love reading a mystery and trying to guess who the bad guy is. And I really did try, but just when I was sure I was right, the plot twisted and new information came in, and then someone else moved to the forefront. The ultimate villain took me completely by surprise, but I must admit I did appreciate the ending of this particular person a lot. Nathan and Amelia had a lot to work out. Between functioning as a team to find the missing women (turns out there were quite a few), secrets came out and forgiveness was given.

This is author Katie Reus' fifth Deadly Ops series, and I believe it's still as fresh and full of surprises as the first. So if you like suspense, second chances at love, steamy, grab-you-by-the-throat romance and bad guys getting their butts kicked, then A COVERT AFFAIR needs to be in your hands!
