Then she adds the surprise of something new -- a love that wakes up a dead heart -- and away this story goes. Nick struggles with his inhumanity and his desire to be with Abbey and grow old together. That, of course, is what adds the touches of fear to Abbey too, for she will grow old and gray, and he will stay as he is. But that is dealt with in a couple of surprise twists to this complex storyline. Have no fear. At the end of it all, there is a happily ever after for all parties involved, including the adorable Edna and Pearl.

NIGHT'S SURRENDER is book seven of Ms. Ashley's Children of the Night series. I love books that include past characters and this one includes a number of series heroes and heroines that round out this book very nicely. If you are looking for a book that will make your heart race as you watch a couple fall in love, fight off hunters and evil vampires who endanger their lives and loves, then NIGHT'S SURRENDER is just what you are looking for.
