Lady Phoebe is beautiful, sister of a powerful Duke and almost blind. She has known for the past few years that she will lose her vision but she doesn't want to lose her freedom when her overprotective brother hires a bodyguard to keep her safe.

Captain James Trevillion is proud, brooding and a former king's dragoon because of his leg injury. Still he is capable to bodyguard the beautiful Lady Phoebe with no problem until she is almost kidnapped.

Phoebe is strong, pretty and determined to not let her brother and her family treats her as if she were a delicate doll, so for the past few months she was not happy to have Captain James as her bodyguard. Now that she is blind and in danger, the only person she feels safe and comfortable is James.

DEAREST ROGUE is another fantastic book in the Maiden Lane series. Elizabeth Hoyt's writing is amazing, and I never thought I would love the story of a blind heroine and lame hero but Mrs. Hoyt did a fabulous job. DEAREST ROGUE is a sweet and heartbreaking romance with strong characters and a great plot.

Book Summary

HE CAN GUARD HER

Lady Phoebe Batten is pretty, vivacious, and yearning for a social life befitting the sister of a powerful duke. But because she is almost completely blind, her overprotective brother insists that she have an armed bodyguard by her side at all times-the very irritating Captain Trevillion.

FROM EVERY DANGER

Captain James Trevillion is proud, brooding, and cursed with a leg injury from his service in the King's dragoons. Yet he can still shoot and ride like the devil, so watching over the distracting Lady Phoebe should be no problem at all-until she's targeted by kidnappers.

BUT PASSION ITSELF

Caught in a deadly web of deceit, James must risk life and limb to save his charge from the lowest of cads-one who would force Lady Phoebe into a loveless marriage. But while they're confined to close quarters for her safekeeping, Phoebe begins to see the tender man beneath the soldier's hard exterior . . . and the possibility of a life-and love-she never imagined possible.
