Olivia is on the run for her life because three years ago she witnessed a murder in New York. The murderer is a high profile powerful politician who has status and was able to turn the tables and suspicions toward Olivia who gets arrested.

Once Olivia is released on bail she uses that opportunity to create a new identity for herself and escapes to Valdez, Alaska.

Rafe Brodie's first mate is murdered and he will stop at nothing to solve this murder.

Because of her past Olivia is also determined to find justice. So she tells Rafe that she wants to help him solve this murder. She feels an attraction to Rafe that she has been avoiding but because she never got justice for herself she is willing to do everything to get justice for her friend.

Rafe knows that Olivia is hiding something and thinks she may be in some kind of trouble so he reaches out to his brother, the former cop, to find out about her past. Once he discovers who she really is he is not giving up on her because he plans to have a future with her.

Olivia winds up in the clutches of one of the fanatics who has found out her secret and has plans for her. One thing he quickly learns -- do not mess with a woman with a stun gun.

To help Rafe and Olivia solve this murder his brother Nick sends in the big guns to help.
