Newly arrived detective Frank Bennett meets his partner Eden and finds himself thrown into a serial killer case. Twenty bodies are found in metal boxes in the ocean when a man who has been chained to one of the boxes escapes. The police soon realize that they have a killer who is taking body parts from his victim and passing them on to those in need of transplants. This killer is not acting out of kindness but out of some sick need to play God.

Frank knows something isn't right about Eden and her brother Eric, but he is unable to figure it out and more importantly they have a killer to catch. Little do they know the killer already has another victim and things are about to get even more difficult as the chase intensifies.

HADES is a dark, exciting thriller that draws you in from the first pages and won't let you put it down. Candice Fox tells the story in an intriguing way flipping back between the past of Eric and Eden and their current lives as they investigate the murders.

HADES is told from the point of view of the newly arrived detective Frank Bennett and the serial killer, these are brilliant points of view to tell the story from giving you an insight into how their minds are working. The reader is fascinated by the story of Eric and Eden, told from Eden's point of view, but Frank being unaware of their past and where they come from just knows they are strange. It gives the story an intense feel.

HADES the first novel from Candice Fox and it is well written and a great read. If HADES is her start I am very excited to see where it goes from here.
