Amy Logan is a twenty six year old widow. She is also an inventor with a robot named Herman. She has just moved from Tupelo to Sunday Cove with her aunt Sylvia who writes mysteries. One day, while attempting to hang her flower box out of her second story window, it falls and almost takes out the man below. That man just happens to be a judge and his name is Todd Cunningham. Now the fun begins! DISTURBING THE PEACE is the least of Amy's problems. Did I mention that her bed blasts out Dixie music at three AM?? Yes, that's right, her bed has a brass band! Trust me, you are going to be laughing out loud!

Did I forget to mention Hortence? That is Aunt Syl's old and very mouthy parrot. The things that come out of this birds mouth are hysterical. One night, actually, one early morning Hortence starts screaming "murder, murder" and wakes up all the neighbors. Before long, Amy winds up in court to face charges of disturbing the peace! Well, can you guess who the judge is that she is standing in front of? Todd Cunningham! There are sparks flying back and forth between these two but Amy isn't ready to let go of her dead husband, Tim! Or so she thinks! Here comes more laughing out loud! Peggy Webb has written such a funny book with DISTURBING THE PEACE. I was actually snorting through many of the chapters.

I have never read a novel by Peggy Webb before but after reading DISTURBING THE PEACE I can't believe what I have been missing! I'm on the hunt for the rest of them now. This was such a fun read! I lost track of how many times I burst out laughing. I definitely recommend this book to anyone needing a smile. I liked the tension and banter between Amy and Todd which made the book an enjoyable read. I read DISTURBING THE PEACE in two sittings and the pages just flew by.

Amy Logan, a zany inventor with a robot named Herman, has moved to Sunday Cove with her eccentric mystery-writing aunt in an attempt to pull herself together after the death of her beloved husband. She never expects to be caught in the spell woven by the Legend of Orange Blossoms. And she certainly doesn't expect to fall for a sexy judge who is her polar opposite. She doesn't know whether to call him Your Honor or call him delicious. But can a man as conservative as Judge Todd Cunningham fall for an impulsive imp like her? And can she grab her second chance without feeling she has betrayed her first love?
