Molly Pink, known to her friends as just Pink, works in a book store. This is not your everyday book store; they also teach knitting and crochet lessons. Molly belongs to the group know as the Tarzana Hookers. Molly's husband passed away several years ago and now her youngest son has moved out. So now if she wants popcorn for supper she can.

You know the old saying, be careful what you wish for. Well that is just how Molly feels now. She doesn't like this feeling. Molly does have two men that want to spend more time with her. First there is Barry, who is a detective and then there is Mason an attorney. Molly also thought that she just wanted a companion, but now realizes that she wants more than that. Barry bows out feeling that she would have a better life with Mason.

The upcoming weekend is the big knit and crochet show. All companies are going to showing their different yarns to sew and teach some classes on both. The big surprise comes when one of the big companies head executive is murdered and one of the Tarzana hookers is the main suspect. Molly is a closed door sleuth. As much as Barry tells her to stay out of it, she just can't.

What a delightful book Betty Hechtman has written. KNOT GUILTY is the second book that I have read of hers and enjoyed both of them. Hechtman shows how no matter how much you don't agree with one of your friends, when they are in trouble, you should be there for them. Hechtman also tells as how much you might think you love your new life, sometimes being alone is not as fun as you thought it would be.

Hechtman also includes in the back of the book a few crochet patterns, along with a recipe. I don't know how to crochet, wish I did. I know how to knit, so I really enjoyed the banter between knitters and people who crochet.

Book Summary

Molly Pink and her pals, the Tarzana Hookers, are ready to bring the craft of crochet to the masses. But when one of their members finds herself the prime suspect in a murder, the Hookers are going to have to switch their focus to fighting her bad rap…

Molly and her friends can’t wait to get more people hooked on crochet at the annual SoCal Knit Style Show, where Shedd & Royal has been granted a vendor booth. In the past, the show has always been about knitting, and this is the first year there’ll be crochet classes and a crochet competition.

The show’s organizer is K. D. Kirby, publisher of several knitting magazines and owner of a yarn store that caters to an elite Beverly Hills crowd. Everyone is shocked when K.D. doesn’t show up for the opening reception, but that’s nothing compared to how they feel when she’s finally found—dead in her hotel suite.

Suspicion immediately falls on Adele, one of the Tarzana Hookers, who locked horns with K.D., and whose handmade crochet hook is found at the murder scene. Certain that Adele’s been framed, Molly starts her own investigation, hoping to get their pal off the hook and find a killer before another guest checks out…
