UNDER A WOLF MOON brings us five brand new paranormal romances by bestselling authors. All five books in this anthology are varied even with the same theme of wolves and are steaming hot. I think there is something for everyone in this well written group of short stories.

"Wolf Next Door" by Heather Long takes us back to Willow Bend and into the life of another Buckley brother. Tyler Buckley had known Claire Webster was his mate since they were five years old, but they butted heads and then she chose to leave the pack. Now she's back. Claire is relieved and terrified that she was allowed to return to her home on probationary terms under the new Alpha, but it is Tyler that she dreads seeing again and who's the first person she does see ... Tyler.

Wolf Next Door is simply great ... it takes us back to Willow Bend to catch up on the goings on with the pack that is slowly being put back together. I loved how the family immediately tries to keep Tyler and Claire separated. I also liked the way Ms. Long kept allowing secrets and truths to come out as the pages turned. Fantastic storyline of love maturing into what it should be. Wish it were a little longer ... well a lot longer ... I love this series.

"Princess of the Pack" by Saranna DeWylde finds Marchessa de la Luna doing her duty to the pack by going along with the marriage plans of her father to aging alpha Antony Rommulus but a passion for the man Cassius sent to escort her throws the beauty into turmoil. Duty or desire ...which will it be or can it be both.

I found this held a number of interesting twists. It flows well but I have to admit I found myself a little confused a few times. A very good different type of storyline.

"Eternal" by Rebecca Royce takes us to the front lines of The Dragon Wars. Dougal Owens has been there for 16 years and the last thing he expects to find is his werewolf mate. She might be flawed, everyone knows that so she isn't fit to mate, but she can help end this war or die trying.

Fantastic storyline with very good, likeable characters. Love a happy ending though the characters really had to work for this one.

"Hell's Playground" by Cara Carnes brings us Mira a former runner for the Alliance and a two year prisoner of war held at a secret facility. On her escape she makes a promise but to keep it she must hook up with Adrik, the alpha she had thought to mate with. Adrik tore Hell's Highway apart trying to find her but now he has a civil war threatening and a pack to put back together. How could he find a facility that no one believes exists?

This one has an apocalyptic feel. Solid characters, but I found the storyline a little baffling and had to back track a couple of times. Still good characters and action.

"Odd Wolf" by Virginia Nelson takes a rogue wolf and alpha and throws them together in a way they could not foresee. Lynwood is only traveling through, with certainly no plans on finding a mate. Alpha Dara is use to taking control so when a rogue shows up in her territory she wants to lay down the law. She certainly doesn't expect for the call of the mate to have her wanting him to stick around forever.

Odd Wolf is a clever twist to the alpha mating storyline. In this case she is the alpha of her pack with him a submissive rogue wolf passing through. There are a number of funny moments especially when Lynwood insists on calling her "Alpha Sweetheart." Cute twist of what readers expect of their Alpha wolf books.

TITLES INCLUDE:

Wolf Next Door by Heather Long

When Claire Webster was five years old Tyler Buckley, the wolf next door, told her he was her mate and then ordered her not to play with one of her friends. Butting heads throughout their childhood, her choice to leave Willow Bend tore them apart. Eight years later, she sends a request to the new Alpha—she wants to come home, and when he grants it, she’s both relieved and terrified. The first person she runs into is the last one who ever wants to see her again.

Princess of the Pack by Saranna DeWylde

Marchessa de la Luna’s duty is to the marriage arranged to the enigmatic and powerful, but aging Alpha Antony Rommulus. Her passion is for the rogue Cassius who can give her nothing except pleasure. Marchessa must choose if it will be duty or desire that will decide her fate and that of her pack.

Eternal by Rebecca Royce

Dougal Owens has served on the front line of The Dragon Wars for sixteen years. The last thing this Alpha werewolf expects is his mate to drop in with a plan to end the war. Together, they will battle to save the Wolves or die trying.

Hell’s Playground by Cara Carnes

The Quadrant Alpha once thought Mira’s death was the worst thing that could have happened. Learning she lives, and worse, survived torture and purgatory gives Adrik a chance to save Redemption and his mate.

Odd Wolf by Virginia Nelson

Dara is Alpha and used to taking control of the situation when it goes swirly. A rogue on her turf means a fight, and she’s ready to take him on. A woman with no plans to be tamed and a rogue wolf with no plans to stick around shouldn’t have more than a brief meeting to establish boundaries and be done. However, when Dara meets Lynwood, the call to mate might drown out logic altogether.
