HER CHRISTMAS GUARDIAN is the second book in Shirlee McCoy's Mission: Rescue series but can easily be read as a standalone story. The characters from the first book make appearances but the focus is on Scout, Boone, and the team as a whole. I love seeing the interaction between Scout and Boone as they both carry scars from their past but continue to live and find love once again.

Shirlee McCoy always writes a phenomenal inspirational romantic suspense story and HER CHRISTMAS GUARDIAN is no exception! I like that Shirlee McCoy throws a few curveballs into the storyline as we get some unexpected twists and turns. HER CHRISTMAS GUARDIAN is a story of second chances, as both Boone and Scout have made some mistakes in the past. This is the first book I've read in the Mission: Rescue series but it definitely won't be the last!
