Charles Wright is the vampire who has his own agenda. He is looking for the jerk who is daring to threaten his brother's wife. Having narrowed it down Brent, Charles jumps at the opportunity to join him at the resort and do a little business. Charles has no idea that he is about to meet an ally and one he finds himself immediately attracted to. He lets himself be blackmailed by Rachel, who had caught him feeding, but he plans on making her pay.

DON'T BLACKMAIL THE VAMPIRE is a witty, fun combination of contemporary and paranormal by author Tiffany Allee. I will admit to a little confusion about Rachel's personality, the author states she is a shy computer geek but I saw little evidence of this fact. To me she is feisty and determined to protect her sister from the "scumbag" Brent, though I guess her sometimes stumbling over words and misusing them could be a sign of shyness or geekdom. Charles' vampirism didn't seem to come into much play, following the initial feeding and sighting by Rachel, but he is sexy and intriguing so I guess it doesn't matter.

I am honestly not sure if either hardcore genre readers will appreciate this unique blend but if you like romance and you find paranormal interesting you should give DON'T BLACKMAIL THE VAMPIRE a try.
