KING'S THRONE is in one word amazing! Author Bianca D'Arc takes us into her shifter world, sliding us into a slightly different realm with nonstop action and multiple surprises. We are introduced to Gina and Mitch while they are on the run and fed bits of background while continuing at a remarkably fast pace. I love Mitch's deference to the royal family, Gina included, at first, because he feels as an orphaned guard he is not worthy of the princess, but later the mate thing takes over and ... oh my ... they are shall we say "purrfect" together.

You will also be surprised that the battle with the bad guy is not the end of this book but really only the beginning of the restructure that Mitch and Gina must do to save their people. As usual Ms. D'Arc's secondary characters blend wonderfully, giving Mitch the family and past he wants as well as the added support they both need to right the wrongs done in the name of greed.

KING'S THRONE is Ms. D'Arc's second book of her String of Fate series (Cat's Cradle was the first), and I am already anxiously waiting for the next one to see what happens to Ria the panther queen as it is hinted in the epilogue of KING'S THRONE.
