Tessa and Lainey had a contentious relationship and when Tessa married the man of Lainey's dreams, she left with no plans to return. Just after Tessa' death, they learn that she was murdered before her house exploded.
When Tessa's ghost appears to Lainey, the two of them and their other sisters set out to discover Tessa's killers. Lainey plans to move on to a job in Florida soon but figures she can solve the mystery quickly and leave town. Tessa's bequest of half of a vineyard and her deepening relationship with Colt change her plans.
Ms. Lipperman has the ability to write off the wall mysteries with strong comedic elements. Her mysteries involve so many characters that it is hard to decide who the killer is. In each book, she has surprised me with the identity of the killer. With all the suspects, the reader is never left with the feeling that a plot thread is left hanging loose.
