Claire Walters feels the burden of responsibility. The romantic tension comes from Jason learning to care for Claire without controlling her and Claire learning to accept the help that's offered from a place of love and affection. They are surrounded by friends and family who add a nice dash of color and will likely be featured in future books in the Danvers series.
