The first person Lark runs into in Last Chance, SC is Chief of Police Stonewall Rhodes. He knows of her father from the past and the first thing he tries to do is chase her out of town.  Her being there is going to stir up a hornets nest of trouble and Stone wants to avoid that so he tries to convince her to leave. Lark isn't having any of it and tells him she is staying until she honors her father's dying wish. Once the towns folk find out she is there, some are very upset and some are very understanding and wish to help her.  But most want to play matchmaker and hook the two of them up! Now the fun begins. First, Stone needs to let go of the past and the feeling of guilt over his dead wife, Sharon.

When Lark starts digging into the past, she learns some troubling things. Not everyone is forthcoming with the details and some just won't talk at all and tell her to leave town. Lark is not giving up. There must be some big reason why her father wanted his ashes spread in Last  Chance and she is determined to find out.  Along the way she falls for Stone.  He is falling for her as well, but he just doesn't know it yet.

I really enjoyed LAST CHANCE CHRISTMAS and am looking forward to reading the rest of the books in the Last Chance series.  It had a great small town feel to it and I loved reading about the characters and all the trouble they got into.

LAST CHANCE CHRISTMAS grabbed me from page one and never let go! A sweet clean read that is just in time for the holidays.
