But at the core, it's an emotional story about acceptance, forgiveness, and trusting love. Nick is handsome and hot but he's also hurting, needing to let go of the past and his father's mistakes. He still believes in love, though, as evidenced by his strong love for his sister and the brother they care for. He's the prefect man to help Lauren break through her reserve. There is a sweet subplot involving Nick's brother and his attraction to a florist who works at the grocery story. THE RED DIARY is an excellent choice for fans of contemporary romance.
