When Celia is on pain pills for bruised ribs, she and Kyle have too much to drink, and they get married in Vegas. The next day, Kyle is shocked to hear that he has a father who never wanted to know him -- but who has left him money and a ranch. Although Celia initially insists on an annulment, Kyle keeps pushing her to give him more time. Their long history and physical attraction expands into a working partnership and steamy love life over the six months that Celia agrees to remain married.

Celia seems to be lost, vulnerable, and still carrying her young girl's crush for Kyle. Lorelie James really drew me into ONE NIGHT RODEO because of Kyle's 100% revelation that Celia was his only love -- the only person he needed in life.

Many readers might miss the story in between the erotic sex, but I enjoyed reading the dialogue and situations where they're cleaning house, working the ranch, or when Celia shops to look hot for Kyle.
