Teddy Brunswick doesn't really like the holidays. The people from the community where he is police chief try to make up for his lack of family by inviting him for dinner and other holiday celebrations. All he wants is to be alone in peace and quiet. When his old friend, Marguerite Argeneau, offered him the use of an isolated cabin for a quiet Christmas vacation, he jumped at the offer. Little did he know that the trip would change his life.
The fact that your entire family can read you mind can get tiring, which is why Katricia Argeneau avoids family functions as much as possible. It was shocking at first when Aunt Marguerite suggested Katricia spend the holiday at her cousin's cabin. That was until Katricia saw the attractive gentleman who was staying in the cabin next door. Could he truly be her life mate? She couldn't read his mind which is always a good start! Thanks to the blizzard that snowed them both in she may have the chance to find out.
THE GIFT was a lovely short story of what can happen when nature helps the master of matchmaking. It was a cute story of two people getting to know each other while trying not to freeze. The only conflict in the story is characters' own thoughts and apparent age difference. It is a great story to read when curled up next to a winter fire with a cup of your favorite warm beverage.
Home for the Holidays
After the events over the past few months, all Cat and Bones would like is a normal holiday with close family and friends. When it comes to the life they lead, it should be obvious that this is too much to ask. When an unexpected visitor appears, all plans are put on hold to deal with the latest crisis.
This is a must read for any fan of the Night Huntress world. The reader is given background information intertwined in a mystery that will keep you guessing. The things we learn about Bones within this story will leave everyone saying "Well, I be!" The story it's self is a fun adventure focused around Cat and Ian. That alone should tell any fan what the dialogue and conflicts should be like. The action is entertain as always. This is one of the series that I have a difficult time waiting for the next installment and HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS is a wonderful treat given to us by Frost to help cut down the anxiety until we can see our favorite vampire hunters again.
