Tru knows there's only one thing to do and that's go out there and get a job to help support her family during their hour of need! So, Tru does what any woman who has been out of the workplace for a number of years would do; she grabs her newly unemployed best friend and together they go into business for themselves.

And so gets unveiled the Veronica Agency, a call girl service that caters to the men who love cougars. They offer a wide variety of lovely and interesting over-40 women to appeal to a high brow clientele with assurances of utmost levels of confidentiality.

THE BEST LAID PLANS is a wonderfully quirky story about a very likable woman who finds her voice and her long buried confidence amongst the rubble of what could have proved to be a terribly unfortunate situation. Lynn Schnurnberger writes in such a way that is an absolute delight to read. Her storytelling is heart warming and at times, laugh out loud funny. When I first learned of the subject matter I thought it was going to be a slippery slope for the author to manage without coming across as distasteful or ridiculous, but Lynn Schnurnberger was able to spin the tale in such a way that was just perfect and I found myself gleefully devouring the book in just a few sittings.
