Ever since her two year stint in prison for unwittingly unleashing a computer virus into the free world, Avery Nesbitt has become an agoraphobic. Not one to leave the house until she's fortified herself with a good dose of Jack Daniels, Avery spends the majority of her life in her house online. So it doesn't come as a surprise when she meets the man of her dreams, Andrew Paddington, and falls in love without even having met him. But when she discovers that he's not the faithful kind, she decides to get even by unleashing a virus on his computer that's many, many times worse than the one that landed her in prison.

OPUS (Office for Political Unity and Security) agent Dixon doesn't know who Avery is but has been surveying her activities ever since it came into light that she's been in contact with Sorcerer, a deadly agent who's gone rogue. When he discovers she's the creator of the virus that virtually shut down the planet and is in the process of creating another one, he uses a little bit of blackmail to get her to agree to help him catch Sorcerer, a man Avery knows as Andrew.

Helping Dixon and his partner Tanner catch Andrew would have been easy for Avery if she hadn't been told that not only would she have to leave her home to help with the assignment but also she would be staying at her parents' Hampton estate. Having been estranged from her family for ten years, Avery doesn't know what to expect but she can't imagine it'll be anything good. In fact, only good thing Avery can see about the whole affair is all the time she gets to spend with staggeringly handsome Agent Dixon.

A delightful and touching story about a lonely woman's discovery about who she is and what she wants. I loved the character of Avery Nesbitt. She's the kind of character I think everyone can identify with on some level. A poignant story that'll have you laughing, crying and falling in love with this author. If you're worried about all the loose ends that seem to not have been resolved in YOU'VE GOT MALE, don't worry; this book is reported to be the first in a new trilogy. I'm quite looking forward to the second book in the series. I'm hoping the next one will be about Avery's sister Carly and Dixon's partner Tanner.
