Successful bull rider Lije Masters takes home an unexpected surprise when he retires from the rodeo. Lije falls head over heels in love with model Diana Mills while she is assigned a shoot at the Dallas rodeo. Diana and Lije are from completely different worlds. Their whirlwind romance lands them married and at Lije's desolate and broken down ranch in New Mexico with little contact, no TV, no Internet; a virtually totally remote area.

Diana realizes that no matter how much she loves Lije, throwing away everything she's familiar with is going to be hard to cope with.
