In Black Satin, Carla is an ordinary woman, living an ordinary life. The mother of three, she has the same daily struggles and problems as any other woman; so when she literally runs into someone else's Cadillac she can't help but think, "Why me?" Much to her surprise that someone else just happens to be Veronica "Ronnie" Browning, an old friend from college. Carla is surprised and grateful when Ronnie is willing to overlook the accident. Thus begins their re- acquaintance. It isn't until Carla discovers what Ronnie does for a living that her life is turned entirely upside down.
You see, Ronnie is a very high-priced prostitute. Carla is initially shocked and embarrassed for her friend, but the more she learns about what Ronnie does, the more curious she becomes. So when Ronnie suggests that she try it out, Carla is hesitant but decides to step out of her comfort zone. Thus begins Carla's foray into the world of prostitution, where she fulfills the fantasies of "friends" and learns about her own sexuality all at the same time.
And in The Love Flower, Fran is just another woman; someone who could live next door, or you might run into at the grocery store. Fran also happens to be an author of erotic fiction. Her book of short erotic stories 'The Love Flower' is nominated for one of the biggest awards out there in the romance genre. The problem is that Fran writes under a pseudonym, Nichole St. Michelle, and while Fran is just another woman, Nichole is a woman of the world, who travels to exotic places and meets even more exotic men. Now Fran has to travel to New York and expose the truth about herself in order to win. That is, unless she can turn herself into Nichole before awards night.
With the help of her publisher, Fran is introduced to Carla, who has been living a double life as well. Carla is not only a single mother of three, but also a very high- priced prostitute. Carla introduces Fran into what her life would be like as Nichole. Carla gets a complete makeover; makeup, hair, and wardrobe. The real change, however, is turning Fran into the experienced woman of the world that Nichole is through Carla's "friend."
These stories are much more involved than I thought they would be, particularly The Love Flower. All in all, this was a very well written book. Some of the more intimate scenes had some scenarios that I don't particularly care for and I personally find offensive. My opinion won't be everyone's so I would have to say that if erotic fiction is a genre you enjoy, you may want to try MADE FOR SEX on for size and see for yourself.
