Single white father Davis Strong is having a hard time raising his biracial 9-year-old daughter, Angelica. When Davis asks her to help counsel Angelica, it is inevitable that the two of them will be thrust together in their efforts.

JUST LIKE CANDY is a solid, well-written story of interracial romance. It also delivers everything its title promises—an incredibly sweet and enjoyable treat. Candy Cain is the exact opposite of the woman a straight-laced guy like Davis would fall for. She wears her hair natural, full of kinks and curls. She dresses in low cut tops and fabric wraps without a care for the image she presents to the kids she works with. And she defies convention with her refusal to care about what anyone else thinks about her. Davis, on the other hand, is your typical suburban white father. He works at the family business and comes home and takes care of his daughter. The only thing that separates him from any other middle-class white man is his obsession with this strong, black female. Watching these two break down each others walls was thoroughly enjoyable, and the passion in this story virtually seared the pages. Enjoy JUST LIKE CANDY when you have some time to yourself, and keep a fan handy because this story is HOT!
