"Good guy" vampire Angus McKay is sent to convince Emma to give up her killing ways before she causes an all-out war between the two vampire factions -- the good guys who've given up human blood for synthetics and the evil vamps who're still set on wiping out humanity. Even though Emma is drawn to the 500-year-old undead sexy Highlander, she isn't willing to lay down her stake and let Angus have his wicked way with her. Not quite yet, anyway. While romance blooms, other problems surface.

In his 500 years on earth, Angus has had his share of enemies and one of them, an oldgirlfriend, stalks the pair with a vengeance. If only the star-crossed lovers can see through their cloud of prejudice and lust, they might live long enough to come to some sort of an understanding that doesn't involve a stake through the heart.

This third book in Spark's Love at Stake series was silly and fun. However, Angus' brogue got in the way and occasionally took me out of the story. I dislike the brogue; it's like using laugh tracks on sitcoms. As far as I'm concerned, after 500 years of travel, his accent should be a little less noticeable. BE STILL MY VAMPIRE HEART will keep Sparks' fans sated and looking forward to more of her vampire romances.
