As the only child among her mother and aunties on Paradise Island, life gets a lonely for Diana. After her mother breaks another promise to her, Diana goes looking for entertainment. With some discarded clay, Diana creates a new friend. When her new friend Mona comes to life, no one is more surprised than Diana. But Mona doesn’t want anyone else to know about her.

When Diana doesn’t live up to Amazonian standards, people start to worry. They don’t realize it’s the influence of her new friend. Diana begins to doubt herself and her role within the Amazons. She comes up with a wild idea to test if she’s a true Amazon, but it’s dangerous. With the help of her friend, she comes up with a plan. But all too quickly, things escalate out of control.

This graphic novel will introduce readers to a younger version of Wonder Woman – a version that has the same emotions as the readers – boredom, insecurity, longing to belong, and more. Diana makes bad decisions but makes amends for her mistakes. For this illustrator, this is her debut graphic novel and it certainly won’t be her last. Her illustrations bring the story to life. Readers will hope for more graphic novels about Wonder Woman from this talented team.
