Once again, Kara Taylor harnesses the spot on voice of a teenage narrator who just wants to get down to the bottom of things and help the world feel a little safer all while enjoying the excitement and puzzle of it more than a little. Anne's journey up until this point has been a roller coaster of intensity with splashes of Pretty Little Liars and Gossip Girl. In DEADLY LITTLE SINS, Taylor leads the final plot to a place where all the burning questions from the previous books are finally answered.
Anne reaches her point of no return in this novel. She has come so close to finding out what really happened with Ms. Cross that she, no matter threats of expulsion and even the threat of losing her life, cannot turn back. At the same time, she starts making incredible personal development that was present in the previous books, but is unparalleled in DEADLY LITTLE SINS. Her romances and friendships discover new nuances and revelations that make you want to give Anne a hug.
Fans of the series will not be disappointed with DEADLY LITTLE SINS. Though the answers to the big questions may not be what is expected, they are clever, meaningful, and sometimes purely delicious. Kara Taylor excels when it comes to a good mystery, and with this series being over, I can only imagine what she will cook up next.
