Olivia Cunning has created intriguing characters and a Rock N Roll world that feels genuine. The band behaves as you would expect— a lot earthly, a little raunchy, and very sexy. The sex is frequent, explicit, and creative. This book is not for the faint of heart, but fans of erotica will find it entertaining. The only discordant note is a minor subplot involving Myrna's abusive ex-husband who made her feel "dirty" because of her sexuality. I thought the conflict was unnecessary and pulled the reader out of the Rock N Roll fantasy. The story is at its best when it focuses on a woman testing the boundaries of her sexuality while trying to build a relationship with a touring rock star.
Book Summary
Human Sexuality Professor, Myrna Evans, wants nothing but a weekend of hot, no-strings-attached sex with Sinners' sensual lead guitarist, but Brian Sinclair is looking for something more permanent than a one-night stand. Unable to compose music for months, when Brian makes love to uninhibited Myrna, he hears exquisite guitar riffs and finger-burning solos. In Myrna, he's found his muse.
